Hello Parents!
Only two weeks until Christmas break, I hope y'all are ready, I know I am! Just a reminder our Christmas program is tomorrow night at 5:30 but please meet at 5:15 in the music room. Remember to dress your child in a star costume. Also, next Friday is our Christmas Party. Our class is going to have a Pajama Party that day and make hot cocoa and decorate cookies. I will also provide a sign up sheet for food you would like to bring for lunch.
One more thing, the school's Gala is coming up in February and each class is expected to make and donate something for the auction. If anyone has any ideas of what to make, let me know, I have a few ideas but would love some extra input, especially from all you crafty parents! Hope you have a blessed week!

Sharing Feast
Hello Parents!
This week we have been learning all about Turkeys and Thanksgiving. Children will be dressed up like Native Americans for the Sharing Feast Friday. The children have also been discovering about different foods that are eaten at Thanksgiving and what the first Thanksgiving was like with the Pilgrims and Native Americans.
I want to remind everyone about our sharing feast tomorrow and that parents and siblings are invited to have lunch with us for $5 a person. Our class will be making Green Bean Casserole in the morning to serve at lunch. Hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday and see you back Monday, November 26.
Many Blessings!

Thanksgiving and Book Fair
Welcome November! Our class is learning all about the month of November and preparing for Thanksgiving, discovering what happened on the first Thanksgiving and what we do at our homes for Thanksgiving. This week we started off by taking a nature walk around the school, picking flowers and leaves, watching butterflies flutter by, and talking about the life cycle of plants. In class last week we took some pumpkin seeds and sprouted them in plastic bags, so today we transferred our seeds to soil cups to help them grow. Food is an important part of why we celebrate Thanksgiving and it is important to know how our food is grown. We also created beautiful nature collages with our findings from our nature walk.
Currently our school is having a book fair, so please stop by and support our school and buy some books!

This week our class has been learning all about eggs!! So far we have painted with eggs and had a Ressurection Egg hunt in the classroom. We have also tried out some science experiments; the floating egg, the rubber egg, and the translucent egg! We have had lots of fun! Today is the last day of our egg unit and to celebrate we made Green Eggs and Ham, from the Dr. Suess' classic story book. The children had so much fun and so did I! Hopefully I can uplaod some photos from the day onto here or onto the school's facebook page!

WInter has arrived!
Dear Parents,
I hope everyone had a great Christmas break! We are pleased to welcome two new student to our class, Owen and Barrett! We are so glad to have new friends in our class! Sadly we also lost a student over break, Aishik aka "Nick" and his family moved back to India. :-( We will miss him a lot! This past week and this week our class is learnig all about winter. We have been talking about what happens to the weather, what types of clothing we wear, and what types of activities do we do. We started off this week by doing a special science experiment where we put snowflakes, made out of pipe cleaners, in a borax-water solution to soak and hopefully over the next few days we will have crystalized snowflakes to hang in our classroom. Pictures have been posted on the school's Facebook page if you would like to see the experiment. Report cards went out last week, most have been turned back in but if you haven't already please sign them and return them. Thank you! And if you have any questions or concerns don't hesitate to give me a call or stop by my room!
Many Blessings!
