Dear Parents,
Last week was busy and fun in Young Learners. We ate red, green, and yellow apples and learned about Johnny Appleseed. We also planted our apple seeds and are waiting for them to grow. We made a gumball machine and counted the gumballs. We also painted apple trees. We are learning about sharing and courtesy at circle time. This week we are learning about matching and sequencing. We will learn Humpty Dumpty and several new songs. The children have started both music and Spanish classes and are enjoying both. Everyone seems to be adjusting well and having a good time!

Dear Parents,

The Young Learners had a great two days to start the year off! We learned about red, green, and yellow apples, we painted apples and read apple books. We also learned the nursery rhyme "Mary had a Little Lamb" and talked about our favorite things we did at school. We learned about sharing, playing together, and circle time. We also learned about the calendar, weather, and read lots of books. We enjoyed songs and fingerplays and played with the musical instruments. Everyone did great.
Next week we will continue with learning about apples and teddy bears, counting objects , size discrimination and matching. We also will talk about friends and families. If you have any questions about your child, please call me at school or at 254-541-0352.
